Yes despite the religious connotation of the artwork (the record label's idea!) the Mussenden EP is based on an ancient temple in Northern Ireland. It is due to be released on August 2017 but the pre release hype is getting noisy. Hitting DJ playlists across the world and Brazil's biggest blog dedicated to electronic music.
The Mussenden EP was written by Carbon Electra (otherwise knows as our very own Davide Carbone) and Olly Davis whom Davide met whilst Olly was studying the Production Masterclass at School of Synthesis.
The Mussenden EP features three tracks; Mussenden, Mentropic and Funk Me and expectations are high for these three Techno tracks.
The collaboration and success story is just one of many cool vibes coming out of Melbourne's School of Synthesis. There have been many students that have gone on to work full time in the industry as sound designers and producers.
Several students have also worked with SOS tutors Mike Callander and Davide Carbone. The fact that all our tutors are working professionals mean that most of our students get some form of first hand or third hand exposure to the real and current world of music and sound production.
We shall keep this blog updated with further news as the EP gets released!
