Dedicated DJ & Production rooms in our new building

About Us

We offer high-end, hands-on training in sound production.

We are School of Synthesis

School of Synthesis was established in Melbourne, Australia in 2010 to bridge a significant gap in the Australian music market for unique, high-end, and highly personalised short courses in music production using popular modern technology such as that offered by Native instruments, Ableton and Logic. Since then the School of Synthesis has become Australia’s only official Ableton and Native Instruments certified training centre. Our tutors are qualified trainers and hold various certifications from City and Guilds 7407 Teaching degrees to Apple Certified professionals in Logic Pro X. Since opening we’ve helped many of Australia’s top established musicians and producers improve their expertise and we’ve helped hundreds of new producers make and release their first tracks, many of whom have gone on to have great success. Our short courses are conducted in groups of 9 students or less and run for a total of 12 or 18 hours across 4 or 6 weeks to ensure a thorough and intensive exploration of the content vital to each subject area. Over 1,000 students have rated our courses an average of 9/10. The School of Synthesis vision is to be recognised as one of the most innovative music training providers in Australia. We look forward to welcoming you at our purpose built music and training rooms in Melbourne, Australia. School of Synthesis contributes 1% of its revenue to Carbon Removal.
