The course was amazing I really enjoyed the course, the basics were explained in a simple and understandable way that made it fun for everyone. I rated the Alive with Ableton Live course at the School of Synthesis 11 out of 10. It moved fast, it was really challenging and I learned 100% new stuff. The instructor was a brilliant teacher. His pacing was perfect and he was super competent. Great demonstrations and discussion.

I would rate the Alive with Ableton Live course 10/10. The teacher was top notch. Have always wanted to learn, but haven’t had anyone explain it in a way I understood. So with a great teacher and small class size, meant I loved every aspect of the course!

Before starting the “Alive” with Ableton course at the School of Synthesis I had limited understanding of how to use Ableton and was a little intimidated when opening the DAW. After the first lesson, I learned what I had been trying to learn from Youtube for many weeks, the weeks following were even more informative and made Ableton a lot more understandable and easy to navigate. I now feel comfortable with making my own remixes and starting to create my own projects! I highly recommend studying at SOS if you want to start using Ableton.

Ive been Djing for 5 years and had been interested in writing music prior to doing this course. I found our teacher went through the basics of Ableton very well yet also made it very interesting the way he related everyday examples of music to his knowledge of the program. This course helped me get past how daunting and confusing Ableton can be and helped me to simplify it to the point now where I am using Ableton regularly. I definitely recommend School Of Synthesis to anyone who wants to start writing music whether you’re a beginner or not. Thank you guys 🙂

Before enrolling in SOS’ Ableton ‘Alive’ course I knew very little about electronic music production. After only a few classes I found myself able to navigate around Ableton quite easily, and was already starting to write pieces of music that I was quite happy with. I recommend this course to suit anyone ranging from beginner through to advanced, as the tutors knowledge of music synthesis, especially using Ableton as the DAW, is next level. Overall, a great experience with very professional teachers who above all else make music production fun.

I did the Ableton Live course at SOS. Although I was familiar with using hardware synths, sequencers and fx I was a newbie to using Live. The class was a great way to break into using the software and it struck just the right balance between technical depth and casual enquiry. I got lots of techniques and ideas that I was able to apply in my own projects straight away and the in-class discussion was a great way to get other people’s perspective on making noise with the software.

I attended the “Alive” with Ableton Live class. I had very little previous experience in using Ableton Live (or any other DAW) before attending, but by the end of it I had a better understanding of how the program works and could comfortably navigate my way around Ableton. The tutor made every lesson easy to understand and also (importantly for me) fun! I feel that this course has given me the drive I needed and opened up the door to endless possibilities for creating my own music. I recommend this course to anyone, beginner or pro!
