As a guitarist and member of 70’s band Skyhooks my musical experience is born of the Analog era. I’ve done three courses at SOS introducing me to the digital age. Well I’ve got to say I’ve enjoyed every minute of these courses. The tutors explain the concepts well They are current successful working producers and up to date with this fast moving technology. The tutor knew Logic Pro X inside out and was patient, passionate, experienced, and ever willing to share his knowledge. So if you want to get up to speed on Logic Pro X and mixing and mastering, these SOS courses are a no brainer!

The Making Music with Logic Pro X course at School of Synthesis not only concisely demystifies the complexities of Logic Pro, but does it in a way that is conducive to both novice and seasoned producers / musicians alike. By the end of week six I had learnt and retained an incredible amount of information and techniques that I know I never would have discovered on my own. I honestly believe had it not been for the School of Synthesis, I would be nowhere near as competent in Logic Pro and/or achieving the positive results I am today.

Probably of even greater value to those seeking to get under the hood of Logic Pro X is not the tutors quite extraordinary knowledge of the software, but the very difficult accomplishment of knowing how to teach the software. As someone who has designed many of Australia’s tertiary music technology courses, I know when something is being done well.  Making Music with Logic Pro X course design and content is just brilliant. Really loved the Making Music with Logic Pro X course at the School of Synthesis. It’s the best thing I’ve done for my music. I understand Logic Pro a lot more from the courses than any tutorial. Thanks for everything.

I’m a keen “home hobbyist” and attended School of Synthesis with my teenage daughter so we could both learn Logic Pro X. We came from a standing start but the tutor of the Making Music with Logic Pro X course was able to craft the messages to our basic needs as well as support the more experienced students in the room. Course structure was well thought out and the delivery was seamless – SOS is at the top of their game. We both thoroughly enjoyed the course and would recommend it to others.

I have been involved in the music industry for 4 decades as a performer, composer and music teacher. As a consequence of the Logic Pro X course at School of Synthesis, I now have a very well-rounded understanding of how to use Logic Pro efficiently and effectively. Whilst the tutor had a clear learning agenda for each lesson, he also seamlessly accommodated the individual needs of each student along the way, taking into account different levels of experience, as well as different learning needs associated with disparate musical genres. Truly well done SOS!

I have been an electronic music DJ for 7 years and have always wanted to try my hand at music production. Having tried on my own, I was having difficulty finding where to start and decided to take a course at SOS. The Making Music with Logic Pro X course was a great introduction to the features of Logic Pro and what the software is capable of. The instructor was very easy to understand and capable of accommodating my learning needs. I am now a confident user of Logic Pro and able to get my music ideas out of my head and into sound. Since finishing the class I have also taken the Sound Design course and have signed up for the Mixing and Mastering course.

I got Logic about a year ago but was quite overwhelmed by the level of knowledge required to use it properly. Even by the end of the first class I felt more confident with the basic shortcuts and functions. The teacher was great and I’d recommend the Making Music with Logic Pro X course at School of Synthesis to anyone.
