Our Vocal Production course is designed to offer an intimate, hands-on learning experience with class sizes ranging from 1 to 9 students. This small group approach ensures personalised attention as you explore the key elements of vocal production in a hardware-based studio environment. Within just a few weeks, you’ll be recording and producing high-quality vocals.
Course Overview
Led by acclaimed vocal producer and songwriter Em Andre, who has worked with artists like Aloe Blacc and achieved 2x Platinum status with Teeks’ album Something To Feel, this course equips you with the skills to produce industry-standard vocals. You will master advanced microphone techniques, recording, comping, EQ, dynamics, tuning, and alignment. The course also emphasizes universal principles that apply to any Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) or hardware setup.
Course Level
This masterclass is suitable for singer-songwriters, producers, vocalists, podcasters, and anyone involved in vocal and voiceover production. While beginners are welcome, those with some experience with microphones and vocal production will find additional value.

- Vocal signal flow, including preamps, interfaces, and outboard gear
- Efficient recording techniques, take management, and track organisation

Learning methods:
Each session commences with a group demonstration and discussion, followed by solo work on one of our eight Mac workstations where you will practise set themes and techniques derived from real-world applications of the technology.
Upon demonstrating your command of the necessary skills you will be further encouraged to add originality to your recreations and save various versions of your work.
Additional resources and materials:
All hardware and software is supplied, though we recommend students bring a storage device (eg. a portable USB drive) to save and back up all work, and a pen and paper to take notes. We also recommend students own a PC or MAC.
Students can bring their own laptops to class so the tutor can assist with setting up software like Rekordbox.
Assessment and feedback:
You will save successive work and will receive regular support, encouragement and feedback from your tutor. All students will receive a t-shirt, sticker and completion certificate upon the successful completion of the course. At the
